Halsey is the absolute BEST and they are so creative. Everyone I interacted with was so genuine and wanted us all to have a fun, safe time, and they definitely made us feel comfortable so we were able to enjoy the whole experience. I felt like I was walking into a high school auditorium because of the size, and that is a very good thing! The staff was also incredibly nice and helpful. Hard Rock Live Sacramento was a great venue, especially for this show! I was in section 102, but even the seats in the 200 section had perfect views of the entire stage. I want to be able to listen to these songs with strings whenever I want because it added such new life to each one. Every musician was absolutely incredible! I usually try not to take too too many videos, but I couldn't stop at this show. I've seen Halsey a million and one times, but never like this! H was so in their element, playing with their voice and looking so comfortable and at home on stage with the string ensemble. I do not think I will ever return again, my friend. But the Hard Rock Hotel/Casino, their nonexistent ventilation and their overwrought venue security sucks ass. In conclusion, the Ween concert itself was great.

Instead we had a stale brownie and bottled water from the coffee kiosk. My wife and I paid over $500 for a hotel room specifically so we could get room service after the show. At the Hard Rock the smoke just settles around you. Most casinos, you can see exhaled cigarette smoke instantly disappear into the ceiling ventilation system. It was like being in a sealed box with cigarette smoke being pumped in. My wife and I had to wear KN95 masks just to breathe. The entrance to the venue required us to walk through the smokiest casino on the planet. Definitely affected our overall enjoyment. I have never seen so many people escorted out of a concert in my 35 years of attending live shows.

Sheesh, don’t taze me bro! There were probably 40 venue security people and 12-15 armed sheriff deputies in full tactical gear roaming the venue constantly hassling kids for smoking, vaping, leaning on the railing, dancing too loud, smiling too wide, and who knows what else.

I paused in the aisle on my way back from the restroom for about 15 seconds to enjoy a particularly good musical moment, and two security guards approached me with an overly aggressive stance and said “Okay sir, we are going to need you to return to your assigned seat”. The venue security was overbearing, rude and thoroughly unpleasant. Ticket takers, merch table and concession area staff were all very friendly. The venue itself was nice enough, not too big. Ween’s performance was incredible as per usual.
